True Blockhouse is a small music publishing house based in Norwich, England.  It represents experimental artists that specialise in electronic, synthesis or orchestral genres.  Our current artist roster includes: Cellarhouse, The Urban Mods, Killian Wright, Rob Stroud

History & Resurrection

The Original Blockhouse label and recording studio ran from 1988 to 1995 and was situated in Burford Road, Stratford, East London.  It specialised in early EDM (Hardcore, Breakbeat, House & Jungle).  More information can be found at Discogs*.  (see pics left)

In 2018, after a 24 year hiatsus, the blockhouse name was resurrected to pick-up with some long lost musical collaborators. During the pandemic of 2020/21, this gave way to the Cellarhouse project and several new recordings with The Urban Mods (to name but a few)

The new True Blockhouse is proud to stay true to its heritage, and remain a not-for-profit enterprise where any returns made on releases are shared on an equal basis with all artists.  So far we have had 21 releases including four albums and five EP's. Killian Wright's latest album: No Country For Old Men picked up great reviews from magazines such as Electronic Sound and in 2024 we released more from Killian, Cellarhouse and Rob Stroud.

We are currently not accepting any unsolicited enquiries and wish to remain a boutique, underground label that specialises in Dark Chill, House, Alternative Orchestral compositions and Deep Synthwave.  All releases can be found across all the major music platforms via our partners at Cygnus Music

The studio is not for hire and is for private use only.
